Gwizski, hails from Los Angeles’, San Fernando Valley, relocating just south of San Francisco to Santa Cruz in the mid 1990′s. It was there where Gwizski started DJing and producing beats. He also worked at 2B1′s famed Palookaville in Santa Cruz, where he worked backstage with performers. Gwizski, moved to Portland Or. in 2001, started hosting monthly hip hop show’s and was a part of Portland’s notorious underground hip-hop weekly ”MondayNiteRaw” started by west coast producer LoLimit of Lazer Sword. Currently hosting ON THE ONE a ALL WAX BOOGIEFUNK/ELECTRO/GWAVE weekly at @SwiftLoungePDX in Portland OR. Gwizski, has toured numerous times and shared stages with Rob Swift, Blackalicious, Cali Agents, Aloe Blacc, Blu, John Robinson(aka Lil Sci), Exile, Del Tha Funky Homosapien, ZMan, Pigeon John, 2Mex, Living Legends, Opio, Myka9, Bored Stiff and many others.Gwizski has produced two full length LP’s, his first Loop Regions, which is a smooth loop driven album featuring 14 guest artist, received acclaim from XLR8R magazine and the Root’s Okayplayer.com,as well as from others. His second album ” Virgo Vibes” is a smooth jazzy groove driven instrumental private press 12”,Gwizski is currently working on his third to be S/T. Gwizski continues to DJ on the west coast, his style is always integrating history with contemporary,leader of the new smooth vibe,ALLDAY,gots something for all listeners that enjoy hip hop, groove, funk, latin, electro, freestyle, electronic, modern soul.
